Let me tell you a story

Centenarians Soup was born from my love for Sardinia — for its simple cuisine and for that secret to long life hidden in the everyday gestures of our people.

It comes from all the days spent far from home, when you feel that something — or someone — is missing. That pull that only a concrete gesture can ease: a hug, a smile, a shared meal.

So I tried to capture that feeling of home inside a simple, humble minestrone.

For when you’re far away. For when you get the chance to reunite.

It will be the perfect excuse to cook it and feel connected, once again.

My name is Maurizio, and my story is made of deep roots and long journeys. I spent many years away from Sardinia, working in the world of food and beyond: between digital projects, recipes to test, and services to build, I learned how food can be a universal language, capable of bringing people together wherever they are.

At some point, I realized it was time to come back. To bring home what I had learned and turn it into something real — something that could give back energy and create new opportunities.

The recipe for the centenarians’ minestrone, a symbol of the Blue Zone, was the starting point. But what truly guided me was the idea that longevity is born from community, from human relationships, from knowing someone is waiting for us. Because the real secret lies there: in a warm meal shared, in slowing down, in taking care of one another.

Today, I make our soups in a small artisanal micro-lab in the heart of a Sardinian village, selecting plant-based, natural, additive-free ingredients. Each soup is an invitation to slow down, to share, to take care of yourself and of the people around you — starting with what we put on our plate.

Enjoy!
